大学1年の秋に手にしたこのアルバムに、私は衝撃を受けた。常に気分を高揚させてくれる。ロック一辺倒ではなく、バラードも秀逸だ。welcome to the jungleに始まり、rocket queenまで聞き終えるときには、天下を獲ったかのような達成感に浸ることができる。すべての曲が素晴らしいのでどれを挙げるか迷うが、特にIt's so easyをお薦めしたい。この曲は、前曲welcome to the jungleの喧騒を静めながらも、凛とした強さを感じさせる。とにかくイントロがかっこいい！リズムで聞かせる曲だ。あと、sweet child o' mineもお薦めだ。切なく美しい名曲だ。とにかくこのアルバムはイイ！聴け！！

確かに、神様のギターである。徹底したブルースであり、instrumentalが多い。
ヴォーカルはほとんど叫び声だ。夜に部屋の電気を暗くして、酒を飲みながら聴くのがいい。
一人悦に入った君は、知らず知らずに顔がにやけてしまうだろう。
このベスト版？は、タワレコで1,500円で売っていたライブ版だ。
久々にいい買い物をしたものだと思う。

二十一歳の夏、夜中にCDを整理していた僕は、それを見つけた。
なんと表現すればよいのか分からない。音の一つ一つが、体の底まで静かに染み渡ってゆく。
構成を練りに練った1枚だ。曲の最後に昇華があるのだ。
僕の体は、何の反発もせずに、ただ、受け入れていた。

theory of a deadman | タワレコの試聴コーナーにて見つけた。１年前の話だ。聴いた瞬間キタ。 デビューアルバムらしいが、それにしちゃすごい完成度だ。疾走のみかと思えば、 質も高いバラードも聞かせる。メロディライン・ハスキーヴォイスもいい。 しっかりした演奏力に支えられている、近年類を見ないバンドだ。 かなりマイナーなバンドだが、そこの君も今のうちに買いだ。 俺は、2ndを待ちわびてる。とにかく、１曲目がいい。聴け！！ |
